Purpose Built Equipment
I designed and fabricated a custom Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) router table capable of cutting wood and plastic substrates.
Some of the Specs include:
- 48" wide by 48" deep by 9" tall cutting volume
- Handles plaques and signs from 6" to 48" square, and anywhere in between
- 3 horsepower, water cooled router
Process
Each piece starts with your own artwork being converted into a computer model optimized for carving. This is a one-time setup for each design. Once you are happy with the model, we are ready to select the material(s) and start the carving.
Finishing
Once your piece has been cut, the standard finish is two coats of black paint to the recesses and two coats of clear. You can also request to finish them your self, providing that extra personal touch.
